The New Edition biopic has a teaser trailer out to give us a taste of what to expect from the film. The first look aired during Sunday night’s BET Awards and fam, it’s lit! The movie seems to span from the group’s earlier days as childhood stars to young men (that sometimes get into trouble).
The cast is flooded with talent. Elijah Kelley stars as Ricky Bell, Bryshere Gray plays Michael Bivins, Algee Smith is Ralph Tresvant, Keith Powers will be Ronnie Devoe, Woody McClain plays Bobby Brown and Luke James is Johnny Gill. The biopic started filming in May of this year.
This three part mini-series still doesn’t have a confirmed air date, but we should expect it some time in 2017.
